JUST IN: Supreme Court Gives Donald Trump VERY Good News

The Supreme Court made a surprising announcement on Friday when it expedited the consideration of a major case, rapidly accelerating the schedule for reviewing the Fourth Circuit’s blocking of President Donald Trump’s travel ban executive order.

Breitbart reported that Trump issued Executive Order 13780 (EO) back in March, and Section 2 of it temporarily restricted travel from six Muslim-majority countries associated with terrorism while the United States developed new vetting procedures to keep the nation safe. Immigration activists immediately sued, and a liberal federal district judge in Maryland granted a preliminary injunction blocking Section 2(c) of the EO

This ruling was then affirmed by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in a 10-3 decision.

Last Thursday, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a petition for review at the Supreme Court. One day later, the Supreme Court rapidly accelerated the case, ordering the ACLU—which represents the plaintiffs— to file their response by 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12.

Once this happens, the Supreme Court could then vote immediately on whether to take the case, or anytime shortly thereafter. A normal briefing schedule would typically not see the Supreme Court issue a decision until the end of 2017.
